DECEMBER 15, 1993. DAY 1.

Brian Dessron was born to his parents Destiny & Christopher Dessron. From the second he was born he was tethered more to his mother than his father, but his father didn’t seem to mind.

JULY 16, 2002. ( approx. ) DAY 1480.

Eighth ( soon to be ninth ) year of life. Everything had been fairly easy up until now, when his life began to shift. His father had always been strict, he had always been less than fun, but he grew to the point where verbal & physical abuse was not an uncommon thing. ( Physical abuse escalates more during his teenage years .) School was always a challenge, his grades were typically low ; though he was never diagnosed with a learning disability, he’s always thought that might be a possibility. The one thing he was diagnosed with, however, is dyslexia. & despite the ailments, his father was still extremely set on putting him down. Not much his mother did could change that.

His only friend throughout school was a girl named Anne, & she was the sister he never had. They had known each other since they were in diapers, & even at the age of eight they had no quarrel over the fact that Brian’s father was a, quote, dickass ; they had heard it somewhere on television. Figured it fit the description. Hey, if the shoe fits….

NOVEMBER 12, 2008. ( approx. ) DAY 2728.

Age fourteen, soon to be fifteen. Things began to shift when his preference for who he favored romantically & otherwise was apparent. While his mother was in love with him no matter what he chose, his father was more than ashamed ; verbal abuse turned into physical as well, & it wasn’t uncommon for him to show up the next morning with a black eye or bruises on his sides. Again, not much his mother could do to change it. His father was always controlling, barely allowing his wife & son to go out & do leisurely things. Skipping one day of school, going to a park, going to the beach, a museum – it all had to go through him.

& at the age of fourteen, Brian began to delve into things that led him down a rocky road. Drugs, drinking.. He easily got addicted. Anne & himself would go to party after party, crashing at her penthouse where she often resided alone given her parents being anywhere else but with her. There were plenty of times he was holding her hair back in the bathroom & she was doing the same ; plenty of times one had to run to the store to get medicine or food that would hopefully stay down for the other– or for the both of them.

FEBRUARY, 1468.

Nina Lasendra. Age sixteen.

Living in a small, secluded village with her mother & father, the girl was very well tempered, very much had a gentle touch, & had a smile to awake the masses. She adored her mother & father more than anything, & any time her father could bring home extra bread from the market she was the first mouth to be fed. It’s not as if her mother truly minded.

Sometime in the chilly month of February, while she was out in search for meat for the winter, a rush of air ran along the left side of her body, only to hug around to the right side. It wasn’t a normal winter breeze, it was as if someone had run past her & taken her soul along with them. Eyebrows furrowed, & the girl slowly made her way back to her home where she saw a man holding a gun. Her mother was tucked behind her father, & her father had his arms up in surrender, attempting to talk the man down.

“ Mama! Papa! ”

Her cries were shrilling, hand against her chest in terror as all three pairs of eyes set on her. Her father spoke, telling of how Mr. Dessron just needs what he owes him, & he will be on his way. She had heard her parents talking of him before ; how cruel his family is, how ruthless they are. They were illegal in every way, but somehow they managed to get away with it all ; her father often thought they had ties with those who were more on the powerful side.

She wasn’t prepared for the moment he would throw the gun down & begin a transformation on the entire family. He went for her parents ; blood down their throats, snapping of bones echoing through the forest. She swore they were dead until they awoke a few hours later, immediately scurrying away from their daughter ; they both turned their heads, simultaneously looking to a deer that had walked from out of the bushes. Nina took it as a sign. A sign that things were now okay. However, when her parents told her to go inside, & after she asked why they yelled at her– she was rather shaken.

Her parents weren’t a force to be reckoned with when they were upset, not that they truly ever were, & she wasn’t about to get in the way. It’s evening by the time she builds the courage to step outside, eyes drifting to the deer lying in the grass, completely stripped of blood. They’re gone.

It took persuasion, it took studying, but she knows. There was plenty of lore about the kind of creatures that supposedly lurked around, & her next line of business was to find the Dessron who did it. Her parents abandoned her, & that shattered her ; not only that, but imagining what they were going through – their fate of having to outlive their daughter. It was cruel– it was wrong. & after her own transformation, she swore to bring the same curse upon every generation of Dessron’s to come.

FEBRUARY 1, 2008. ( approx. ) DAY 2809.

A couple months after he began his downfall at fourteen, he was well into his fifteenth year in the month of February – year 2008. It was a long night, one to which he went to a party with Anne with, & he didn’t return until after midnight. Though, his parents had an event of their own to attend to, & much to his surprise, they weren’t home even at his late arrival.

Rather hung over & coming down from a high, the boy grabbed a bag of Cheetos from the kitchen before stumbling towards his room. The sound of the front door being barged open made him jump, & he turned around to his his mother & father in a more-than disheveled look. Initially he was confused, & he began to ask the obvious questions of are you alright & what happened. Because despite the fact he was a doormat to his father, Brian loved him ; how could he not? But he was more concerned for his mother than anything.

There was a look in their eyes, something that hungered for something clearly attainable. His mother was the first to surge forward, both of them pinning the boy against the wall ; by now his heart was racing, & that only seemed to fuel them. The small cut on his arm was draining blood, & it was enough for his mother & father to gather, soon falling back. His father, of course, didn’t look ashamed one bit. More so, he seemed more concerned about his own well-being than his son’s. His mother, however, was completely shaken, wide eyes looking to her son as tears gathered in her eyes. & just as he was about to speak, his father pulled his mother, & they disappeared from the house.

They didn’t come back.

He waited for months. Bills came in, went unpaid, & living necessities got shut off. Most of his time was spent with Anne, & he reached the point that they came up with a plan to leave not only the town, but hopefully the state. Brian had gathered all the money he could find in his house, scavenging through his mother’s purse & both of their wallets. Anne had some money of her own given she worked at a pretzel stand in the mall, & by the time June came around, they were ready to leave.

The night before they were to depart, they went for a final party ( in this city, anyway ). They came home early in the morning, only to pass out until later that morning around ten or so. Brian was the first to wake, attempting to shake an unconscious Anne from her stupor ; once she was up, he offered to be the one to go down the street to the market & get them something to eat & drink for the morning.

But what was unbeknownst to all was that the person who cursed his parents wasn’t finished with his loved ones.

Anne, I got–

Eyebrows furrowed, pupils setting on the scene before him. He had seen fucked up things on television, but what he witnessed that morning was something unreal. Her body in a trash bag between their beds ; she was dead. It took everything in him to bury it all down, & he simply left with whatever was left, hopping on a few buses until he eventually made it to the state of Virginia.

He wasn’t for going straight to the town, rather he made a shortcut through the woods where he ran into an unfamiliar face. Nina. She took him in, living in the woods with him at her set up for three years ; he fell for her, so madly, & while she acted like she was on the same level as him about it all, she didn’t feel a thing ~~maybe a little~~. When he went out to gather firewood one night, he came back to her with another man in their house, leaving him broken-hearted. While compulsion had been a component of making him stay, he was cut loose, allow him to journey into the foreign town, gathering his own house from left over funds.

Drug addiction along with being an alcoholic definitely had him in the bottom of the pit for a long time, & he even now struggles with it. Upon arriving, he met a girl named Nevena who had a striking resemblance to Nina, automatically making him grow fond. But it was more so who she was that drew him in. & although they were a thing for awhile, the flame blew out through a series of events ; one of them including when he began a relationship with a boy named Ollie.

It wasn’t very long that Ollie & himself were together before they were married ; looking back, it probably wasn’t the best, but when Brian falls ( despite his strong effort to simply sleep around at any given change & push others away ) he falls hard. In addition to Ollie, he grew close to some others as well. Elouise, who was a vampire at the time, grew close enough to be his sister – she is. Joe was like his brother, though things soon went downhill more than often.

It was once when he was with Elouise that Nina paid a visit, calling Elouise’s bluff, ending Brian’s life after her blood was bestowed on him. He came back only to be one of the undead ; heart not beating, veins cold, craving blood. Elouise taught him everything he knows ; taught him how to control himself, how to behave. Not that he necessarily would.

Ollie was gone more & more frequently, & Brian wasn’t dismissive about his affairs. He had cheated quite a few times, & after he learned of Ollie’s passing, he was devastated. Especially since they had an adopted daughter, Charlie ( he has a son with Elouise as well named Olive ). Left as a single parent, he was nothing more than shit – his words – ; there were often times he was absent, times he was too high for life. He went off with Joe for a long time, becoming a ripper, tearing the city apart. He has more than one conviction on his criminal record, but his available shift in vessels seems to help him more than he’s ever believed to be true.

Things come to pass, friends leave. Everyone he had known disappeared in the blink of an eye, & he was shutting everything out. One morning, sat on a bench in the park, he was approached by someone named Daxton. Truthfully, that was the change of his life. They began to date, they went through cheating & trials & errors – more hell than either of them have ever been through. But in the end, right now, in the present – he’s sober, he's happy, he has a job as a mechanic, & he has the most beautiful wife on the planet. He has five children, two of which are biological.

His mother & father had come back, & his father had done his fair share of beating the crap out of his son. Brian’s father killed his mother while she was in the hospital for cancer ( & Brian has lung cancer when human ), & when he set Brian up, it made him hit another rock. Christopher ( his father ) had done everything to make sure his son would die, but in the end Brian prevailed, holding his father’s heart in his palm ; unfortunate for him, the cops showed up, & he was towed away from the scene.

He’s cursed– his family is cursed– he knows that now. All because of what his ancestors on his father’s side did centuries ago to Nina & her family. She rains hellfire to every generation after, cursing them for causing her parents to live such a cruel punishment. One where they outlive their daughter, one where they have to abandon her & leave her alone.

NOW.

In March 2015, his wife has had a miscarriage, leaving both of them beyond torn. It was blatant sabotage by Nina, who has since passed by Brian's hand. As for Brian & Daxton, their relationship did mend over the catastrophe, however a large fight seemed to take them out all over again.

Around June 2015, words were exchanged in a way that left Brian's humanity off for a month, their rings thrown off, & their separation of nearly three months. Granted, Daxton was very mentally ill, & for the third month she was in the hospital recovering.

In July/August of 2015, Brian relapsed in possibly the worst way ever. He's agreed to go to rehab, & is currently on his way. & although him & his wife might have made up, things seem to be on the rocks once again. Then again, that could just be him.

I know my rules are fairly long, & I really apologize for it ; I just like to
give attention to detail so there’s no confusion. But please feel free to
message me about any questions you might have! Or if you just want
to talk, honestly. Or plot.

i. Please do note that Brian isn’t identical to his vessels ; not to his main one ) Charlie Hunnam ) nor his other main ( Harry Styles ). His appearance and additional info can be found in his stats. Please do not copy Brian; he is my original character, and I’ve worked ( way too ) long on him, and he’s my baby. He also has a personal Tumblr which can be found here.

ii. Brian is a very sexual character ( although he has toned it down ), but no smut will be forced on your character in any way. If your character seems uncomfortable he will not force himself on them, or if your guidelines stated you do not want smut — it will not be an occurrence. In his mainverse he is married, and although he does have a history of cheating, there will be no more; therefore, smut he will have with any other character will ninety-nine percent sure be placed in an alternate universe for a plot we have going. Smut will be tagged ‘nsfw’ or put under a read more ( I’ve been simply tagging it as ‘nsfw’ as of late, there aren’t many ‘read more’s; images that fall into this category will be tagged accordingly as well ).

iii. There will be triggers, but everything will be tagged accordingly ( i.e: tw: blood, tw: self harm, ect, ect… ). If you have personal triggers, and you need them to be tagged, please, please let me know, and I’ll make sure to tag them. Send me a message on anon or off anon ( off anon will be kept private ).

iv. There are other Original Characters that are incorporated within Brian’s back story ( find them here ), and I’m willing to thread with them as well ( they do come out more often around Brian’s closer family, but I will do threads with anyone; note that replies for them might take awhile given their muse is sometimes fickle ). His children are not added onto that page ( I run two of his children — Charlie and Olive ), rather their information is on Brian’s relationships page ( I can also thread with them ). I’m planning on moving them over to the Original Character’s page eventually as well in order to give more elaborate details.

vi. I never write starters for new followers, but I will make starters if you have asked for one, or if we plot on Skype ( keri.caldie ), or in my inbox! Please be aware that Tumblr fucks up my messages a lot, and sometimes I do not get them. But also know that it takes me forever ( sometimes days ) to answer inbox questions and requests and such, so I am not ignoring you; you may also tag me in things, and if I don’t get to it within two days or so, feel free to message me because it might not have showed up in my tags. I do make opens from time to time, if you reply and we have never interacted, please do not act as though your character knows mine unless we have established something beforehand. I do use icons ( regular and animated ) more than I use GIFs, and if I post an open or a starter for you using any of the previously stated and you are not comfortable with one, please feel free to use any you please, I’ll adapt. Side note: I sometimes do not follow back, but that doesn’t mean I won’t eventually. If you approach me to plot or something, I’ll immediately follow back. Sometimes I’ll follow back regardless, but I get anxious with who I have on my dash.

vii. I am perfectly fine with torture / violent threads. If your character wants to start beating the shit out of him, go for it, but please remember he is a vampire, and he has certain weaknesses / strengths. As far as killing goes, you can kill him — however, it cannot be anything permanent. Permanent things: burning his body, ripping his head off, taking his heart out, a werewolf bite ( you can find weaknesses on The Vampire Diarie’s wiki link I posted in rule five ). Temporary things: snapping his neck, drowning him, ect.

viii. Replies do take me awhile to get to, and it’s not necessarily that I don’t have them all done, but sometimes Brian only feel muse for certain threads which mean I will post the ones I know I can reply to quickly so others aren’t waiting forever ( I get overwhelmed at times too ). Sometimes I like to wait until I get an influx of all of my replies, then I’ll do them all and post them, and that can take me up to a day sometimes given on how my muse is and given how long the replies are because I do have some long threads. I do try to keep threads going and not drop them, so if it has been awhile and I haven’t replied, you can send me a message because I might have missed it ( my notifications really fuck up a lot ). Often while I have a lot of drafts or after I post them, I will make a post stating I’ve finished them so you know if I haven’t gotten yours so you know I missed it; if I’ve missed it, please feel free to tell me.

things to know- sometimes he can have a very short temper. of course, that could be because h’s bipolar & refuses to take his medication. he’s suffered as an alcoholic & drug addict, & continues to, though he’s trying to live sober. he definitely smokes like a chimney, though. he acts impulsively, & often speaks things that get him into trouble. he also has trouble reading & writing due to his dyslexia.

vessel ii. faceclaim is harry styles. appearance- the one he was born with. he has some scruff, & he grows it out into a beard at times. the only tattoos he has from his vessel are harry’s rose tattoo, his skull portrait tattoo, his ship tattoo, & the cross tattoo on his hand. he has this on the back of his neck for daxton, & this on his left forearm on the underside. he has 'daxton’ on his right wrist, this on his right forearm, this on his upper right arm, this on the left side of his ribs, & 'cadaver’ behind his left ear considering he has a glob-like birthmark behind his right ear ( tattoo tag here ). he has a lip piercing along with hip piercings, an earring – left ear, & a septum piercing ( of which he wil usually take out or flip up ; piercings tag here ). he’s also quite fit, even if he disagrees. he has a large scar that runs from under his right hip bone to the side of his right knee from a trip to hell ; the scar has hundreds of horizontal ones along it from a second trip ( form here ). his hair is auburn ( tag ), & his eyes are green ( tag ).

this is where he feels he’s meant to be, he embraces the lifestyle. on the run, weapon in hand, adrenaline pumping. he just isn’t sure that he’d ever dare TELL anyone about how much he loves the world like this. or, rather, how much it doesn’t fully bother him.

he’ll stick to helping people. staying on their good side.

he’s never had a group of his own, though he has, surprisingly, met a FEW people who were kind enough to spare him food & supplies.
